This ministry not only supplies the needs of the saints but also overflows with many thanksgivings to God. 2 Corinthians 9. 12
Southwark Cathedral is currently closed, but not forever. Please stay in touch with us and donate
Please help us to maintain and secure Southwark Cathedral for future generations
It costs £4,500 per day to look after this beautiful and historic place of worship and we receive no government funding towards our normal running costs, which means we are reliant on voluntary donations and trading income to fund our huge range of activities and mission.
There are a number of ways you can make a donation to the Cathedral.
Please help us to secure the future of the Cathedral through the Covid-19 pandemic.
We are now totally reliant on voluntary donations
- we receive no government funding towards our normal running costs
- we are not receiving income from our shop, café, or conference centre
We ask you consider donating to the Cathedral so that we can make it through this difficult time.
You can make a donation, and Gift Aid if applicable, via the Charities Aid Foundation website here

We welcome gifts in Wills to enable us to continue our mission. After your family and friends have been provided for, please consider leaving a gift to Southwark Cathedral. Even a small percentage of your estate can have a transformative impact.
It’s easy to make or alter a will, and most charity donations in the UK are free from inheritance tax (Southwark Cathedral is treated as an exempt charity by HMRC). All you need to do is:
- seek professional legal advice to assist you with writing your will
- alternatively, add a codicil to an existing will

Gifts in Memory
Giving in memory can be a wonderful way to pay tribute to a loved one. You can remember their life by giving a financial gift to the Cathedral, with your donation going toward the things they enjoyed most; perhaps our choral music or the wonderful T.C. Lewis organ.
If you are a UK tax payer please consider completing and returning a Gift Aid Declaration. Please download a Gift Aid form here
